      What an interesting question!

If I’m honest, I don’t think I really compare myself to anyone – or at least I try not to. I think it is important to set your own goals and work hard on what you know you can achieve. Other people might do better than you, and other people might do worse than you. I think as long as you are trying your best, what other people do shouldn’t matter.

That said, there are a lot of people that I admire and I would like to be like. I think explaining the importance of science to the public is very important, so I admire people like Sir David Attenborough and Professor Brian Cox and Bill Nye the Science Guy who are really good at telling the public about science and nature.

That’s a good question, I suppose I compare myself to my colleagues in some ways. We often get together and discuss what we’re finding difficult to see if one of us has a better way of doing things that the rest of us can try that way we all help each other to become better scientists

My colleagues. I meet some terrifyingly intelligent people through my job, which is fantastic and inspiring for me. Some of them also think what I do is crazy complicated so I suppose at the end of the day we’re all trying to be the best we can be together 🙂

I don’t compare myself with anyone. It’s easy to compare yourself with other people and think e.g. I’m not as clever as them, I’m not as funny as them. But all that matters is that you’re the person you want to be, and you like the person that you are!
