• Question: what in interests you in lasers and microscopes?

      Lasers are incredibly powerful, and light behaves in a weird and interesting way when it’s that powerful. Not in a way you’d expect.
      And using microscopes we can see things which are way beyond what we can see with our eyes. Things look so different when we look really, really closely at them. I once looked at a hair using an electron microscope and kept zooming in and in. It makes you look at things differently and with more amazement when you can really see the details of what’s happening.
