      Gravity is created by mass which can be described as the weight of things. The heavier the object the more gravity it creates. Einstein showed that gravity bends the fabric of space time which sounds a bit complicated but we can think of this idea using a trampoline.

      If nobody is on the trampoline then its flat and if you sat a ball on the trampoline it wouldn’t move. Now if somebody was standing in the centre of the trampoline it would dip down into the centre so if you sat a ball on the edge it would fall down to the centre and you would have to push it back out for it to escape. Gravity works in a similar way but instead of trampoline it’s space, instead of a person its the earth and instead of a ball it’s us!
