      Yes and no!

I would like to be doing what I am doing now, being in the lab and doing experiments. But I think when my PhD is done, I would like to start thinking about a different area of Biology. Muscles are quite interesting, but when I was doing my first degree, the subject I enjoyed learning about the most was how embryos develop from a single fertilised egg into a whole person or animal, with lots of different types of cells which need to be organised in a very specific way. I think that is a really cool puzzle and I would love to work on that.

I didn’t have a clear idea of what I wanted to do at school, so I’ve never really had a “dream job”.
I’ve always done what I’ve found interesting and I’ve ended up doing the job I do now. I really like it – it’s interesting, it’s challenging, I learn a lot and meet lots of different people.

It is my current dream job, I love what I do and can’t really imagine doing anything else as a career. Every day is different and I feel like I’m making a difference.

I’ve had other dream jobs in the past: CGI Artist, Visual Effects Supervisor, Fighter Pilot, Commercial Pilot, Rocket Scientist. When you’re younger its good to have alot of ideas and as time goes on you narrow it down to what you really want to do
