Sadly, no! Carbon, gold and oxygen are all elements which can’t turn into each other in a chemical reaction. That is one of the reasons why the alchemists that tried to make sulphur and iron turn into gold were never successful!

The only way to turn one element into another element is to fuse the nucleii of different atoms together, or break the nucleus apart. These are called nuclear reactions, and take a lot of energy to do. And by my very quick googling, if you managed to mash a carbon nucleus and a gold nucleus together you will get an astatine atom.
