• Question: Does Elliot like to mix chemicals together to see what happens?

      Hello and thanks for the question!

      Sadly most of the chemical solutions I make are not very exciting and I am just following a recipe (we have to keep safe in the lab!). So I don’t currently do any interesting Chemistry.

      I can remember some experiments back in school where you would use different liquids to detect certain types of molecules. For example, Iodine solution is normally a browny-yellow colour, but it turns bluey-purple if you put it on something starchy like a potato. I think it is really interesting how chemicals can react with each other and change how they look and behave.
