Not anymore thankfully, everything I study now is related to my work so I find it interesting
When I was at school I didn’t really want to study English because I wasn’t very good at it, I just didn’t quite get it sometimes. But English is important because its how we communicate with the world so I stuck at it and tried my best because I knew it would pay off in the future.
Similar to Thomas, now that I have chosen what area I work in, most of the stuff I read and study is quite interesting to me, and helps me do better experiments.
One thing I didn’t enjoy studying which I wish I had worked harder with is languages. I can only speak English and have forgotten most of my German GCSE stuff. Knowing different languages can be very useful for a scientist if they want to visit different labs around the world.
